Baby blankets with trees

The first of this blankets  I knitted about 25 years ago in Germany for my youngest daughter Roya. It is old and broken by now, but still in Roya's hand.

Nr. 1 for the grand daughters was finished in October 2007 for Johanna Layne, followed by an other one for
Sophia Meena in January 2008. I thought, I was done with those blankets, but I was so wrong.
Isabella Mia was on the way and her Mom wanted for the little one a blanket, so both daughters could have their own. Started that one beginning September 2010 and it was finished 2 days before Isaballa's birth on Sept. 23.So, I was thinking, what about Emery Pearl (born March 5, 2010), Johanna's sister? I thought, she has to have one too, it is already started like the one for Jonah Michael (will be born mid. December of this year). Wondering, how many baby blankets with trees I will have to make for more grand kids to come.
I started also a pinwheel blanket for Jonah and have now 3 blankets in progress. Will post pictures soon.

Wanted to start knitting socks so bad, have already several books to teach me, have the needles and yarn.
But I have to finish first the blankets. Otherwise I will never finish them. Maybe it will get faster, when I know, the socks are waiting.
